Sweet and Sour Drumsticks

Ingredients
6 chicken legs (or drumsticks)
3 tablespoons soy sauce
2 tablespoons water
2 tablespoons oyster sauce
1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
1/3 cup sugar
3 carrots, chopped
1/8 cup water chestnuts
1/8 cup bamboo shoots
3 slices onions, in rings
black pepper to taste
Instructions
Season legs overnight and store in fridge. Add everything to crock-pot 4 hours before mealtime. Ensure legs are in at least 1-inch of liquid - use water to thin if necessary. Slow-cook on low for 4 hours. Add carrots, bamboo shoots and water chestnut slices just before eating to preserve crunch.
Serve with rice or pasta.
