Ingredients

1/4 teaspoon garlic
1/3 cup peas
3-4 cups of water
1/2 tin coconut milk
Black pepper
Crushed pepper
Chives
Salt
Thyme
Pimento
4 cups rice


Instructions

Add peas, garlic to water and boil. Add coconut milk and boil again. Add pepper, crushed pepper, chives, salt, thyme, pimento and rice. Lower flame and simmer until cooked.

This recipe can also be made using other peas - black-eye peas, gungo peas (green or dried).

Yields:

4-5 Servings
